It was a great show with excellent weather. What a way to cap off Fathers Day. The Sno*Cone booth ran out of water so you know it was a hot day. But it seemed that people really enjoyed the activites and the cars. A few pictures:

April 1,2016	James Kolody (your Club VP) is having a Car and Go-Cart Show on April 1st at the middle school where he is a teacher. The show will be for the kids to showcase the Go-carts they have built and see some classic cars that they could build one day. (Address listed below) I am asking, if you are available, that you bring your car to Gunston Middle School parked and be ready by 1:30 PM on April 1st. The event will start at 2:30 PM and finish promptly at 4:30 PM. The event will include a car show and "Soapbox" style race featuring my students cars. The plan is to have the students "Judge" the adult cars (ballot box) and have the Adults "Judge" the kids cars. Coffee and Snacks for the Adults who bring their cars. No Charge, this is a fun event for my students to show and see. Bring your car, knowledge, and wisdom to share. I hope you can make time to visit. April 9,2016	Auction of Mike Torowus' Collection. This auction on R40 in South Jersey is gonna be a BIG deal. Everybody in the Model A world knew and loved Mike. May 15, 2016	A club outing to the 'Aldie Man Cave' followed by shopping and tasting events in Middleburg. We will gather at John Leydon's garage on ALDIE HILL at 9:30 AM, and on to Middleburg for shopping and lunch, followed by some touring of the country roads in that neck of the woods. Parking has been arranged while we are in Middleburg. After lunch, a 60-minute 'loop' of the surrounding countryside will be offered to those who want to take advantage of the scenery and explore some back roads in horse country. Details will be in the Script leading up to the event.

May 24th, 2016	SPEAKEASY IN LEESBURG! Speakeasy invitation from Cary Knor, a middle school teacher at the Harper Park Middle School located at 701 Potomac Station Drive, Leesburg, VA 20176 (just off of Route 7, about 1.5 miles southeast of the Leesburg bypass). We need to be there by 6:00 p.m. We can expect 250-300 people to see and enjoy our cars. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the event concludes at 8:30. Cary says he will have a choice of many types of desserts as an inducement to show our cars. The show will be fun with minimal effort for drivers - just show up. The Diner staff will arrange parking and judging - we will just have fun. There is no cost to us.

July 31, 2016	Historic Marker Dedication and Reception. A historical marker will be dedicated at the former site of the Copperthite Race Track. Festivities begin at 9:30 am at the Burke Nursery, Burke Va. At the time this was declared one of the finest tracks of its kinds and folks from all over flocked to the fairs, races, exhibits, and events there, to have fun and escape the summer heat of Washington.

August 19-22, 2016	Club Trip to Model A Museum. Stan Johnson reported that the best option to accommodate various requests is for a multi-car trip to the Model A Museum. Individual cars could travel to the museum on August 19, stay overnight in Battle Creek and visit the museum on August 20th and 21st, then return on August 22nd. Individual decisions to extend the trip of any car to include the Early Ford V8 musuem or the Henry Ford Musuem in Dearbord would be an option for each car. More details to come.
